By joining Deeside Orienteering Club (DEE) you will automatically

- Join our members-only closed Facebook group. This group is a forum to ask questions, chat about events, discuss training, club socials, arrange lifts to events, etc - stuff that doesn't appear on our public-facing formal Facebook page. To join, see instructions here
and you can
- Compete in the annual Club Championship
- Take part in Club social activities and coaching
- Stand for membership of the Club committee
- Attend and vote at the Club Annual General Meeting
DEE is a member club of British Orienteering. The benefits of British Orienteering membership are fully explained on their website.
Please note that you are agreeing to the DEE Constitution by applying for DEE membership.
You join by joining British Orienteering and specifying DEE as your Club. You can join online, by phone, or you can print a form and post it with a cheque to British Orienteering; in each case, you start at the British Orienteering Join Online page. Please specify your Club as 'DEE' and your Association as 'NWOA'.
Current subscription rates (April 2021) cover membership until the end of December 2021:
- Junior: Individual aged 20 or under at the end of the calendar year. Annual subscription £5.
- Senior: Individual aged 21 or over at the end of the calendar year. Annual subscription £15.

Joining instructions for closed social media group
You can apply to join following the instructions below. Your application will then be submitted for approval by the group moderator, who will verify that you are a DEE member before approving it.
DEE Facebook Members Group
To join this group you will need your own Facebook account.
- Sign in to Facebook with your usual Facebook account.
- Search in Facebook for Deeside Orienteering Club Members.
- Click on the Join button.
Please note that, as we take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously, juniors are not allowed to be members of this group.
Notes
- Membership information is kept on computer for administrative purposes. If you have any worries or objections, please contact Barbara Majumdar (membership@deeside-orienteering-club.org.uk).
- Names, addresses, phone numbers, and Orienteering age groups of members are published in the Club's Address List (only distributed to Members of the Club). This is to enable Organisers of events to find helpers for events, and for Club Officers to put together teams for relay events, Compass Sport Cup etc.
