From the north either pick up the B5152 at Frodsham and follow through Hatchmere (O signs) to parking in 500 metres, or depart M56 at junction 10, follow the A49 to its junction with the A556, turn right and follow as from south.

Courses White to Green, suitable for novice and intermediate/experienced orienteers, schools and individuals.

Formby is one of MEROC's most technical areas. Enjoy complex navigation for longer, difficult, courses, and sandy path runs for shorter courses. This is a dune area and so (unlike park areas) the green course will be at TD5 requiring the ability to read contours; consequently the option of entering runners on Light Green rather than Green should be used for all bar the competent, particularly in the younger age groups.

Registration from 10.00, start times from 10.15-11.30. SportIdent electronic punching will be used. Juniors £2.00, Senior club/BO members £4.00, Senior unattached £4.50, SI card hire £0.50, Lost SI card £25.00. Pre-entry procedure for schools will be advised to schools coordinators. EOD for individuals.
